Bryce Canyon Utah

Zion National Park Canyon

In addition to Zion National Park, Canyon Country boasts other National Park Service-administered sites worth a visit, including Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks

In Zion National Park, canyons with towering stone monoliths on either side are the main attractions. Zion Canyon, the park’s most visited area, boasts most of the park’s most famous natural landmarks, including monoliths such as the Court of the Patriarchs, Angels Landing, and the Great White Throne, and Weeping Rock, a hanging garden where it “rains” year round due to constant seepage of water through the porous sandstone. The canyon features many short hiking trails, among them a stroll along a handicap-accessible paved pathway paralleling the Virgin River and exhibiting lush vegetation, including ferns and columbines.

The Zion National Park canyon, however, is not the only scenic attraction worth visiting in southwestern Utah. The region is also home to other worthwhile national parks, national monuments and state parks, including Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Kodachrome Basin State Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park and Snow Canyon State Park. You could spend a day or two at all of these destinations and still be wanting more! All of them provide a scenic spectacle diverse from one another.

If you want to go on an incredibly scenic location for your vacation, visit Zion National Park. Canyon Country also boasts other amazing scenic attractions.
