Ticaboo is a thriving community near the shores of Lake Powell (Glen Canyon National Recreation Area) that was originally established for the purpose of mining and milling uranium. Ticaboo is located on highway 276 south of Hanksville, Utah. From Ticaboo you can travel south to Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell and cross the lake via the ferry to Halls Crossing. Access across the Lake (Colorado River) is also available north of Ticaboo on Highway 95 via the Bridge at Hite Crossing.
Amazing Capitol Reef National Park is just to the west via the Burr Trail. Other nearby
attractions include such wonderful places as Arches National
Park, Canyonlands National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante
National Monument and much more.
