Ruby's Inn, Bryce One of Utah's most scenic races. 5 mile trail run/walk overlooks Bryce Canyon and winds through forests of ponderosa pine. Course is gently rolling with an elevation of approx. 7,600 ft.

Pre-register by mail (call for entry form or download from www.rubysinn.com); or register the evening before race (Aug. 27) from 6-8 p.m., or the morning of the race until 8:30 a.m. at Ruby's Inn.

Entry fee: $17 postmarked by Aug. 20; $20 thereafter (check payable to Bryce Canyon Rim Run). Includes a Rim Run t-shirt, post-race lunch, awards, random prizes, and a ticket for free admission to the Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo.

Dec. 31 - 1st NIGHT NEW YEAR'S EVE COUNTY-WIDE CELEBRATION
Panguitch - Triple "C" Arena, 115 East 800 North. Mexican Fiesta - Fun times begin at 8:00 p.m. Food will be served from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Games: bunko, bingo, etc. with fun prizes. Dancing: 50's,60's,70's,80's styles in addition to square, Mexican, and line dancing. Talent from the county: singing, cowboy poetry, lip sync, Karaoke, etc. Fireworks at midnight. Nursery with video and games for the kids. $5/person and $20/family. We want this to be fun for the whole family where everyone is invited and will be able to enjoy each other's company and talents, and just have a great time. So come celebrate the new year in Mexican fashion.

OPEN ALL YEAR - ANASAZI STATE PARK MUSEUM
Boulder - 460 North Hwy. 12, Coombs Site Ruins and Museum, auditorium and gift shop. A short trail from the Visitor Center leads to the Coombs Site Ruins and a life-size, six-room replica of part of the pueblo. The replica gives the visitor an idea of what life was like for the Anasazi between 800 and 900 years ago. OPEN ALL YEAR. Museum hours: May 16 - Sept. 15 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) then change in hours from Sept. 16 - May 15 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Admission: $1.00/person or $5.00/car load. For information call: (435) 335-7308.
